Cigars, Cigarillos and Wraps Kept Fresh Behind the Counter
The Cigar Lane at Kush Kingdom
The cigar lane at Kush Kingdom covers the everyday and the occasional. Up front you will find cigarillos and wraps, the quick grab items regulars pick up with everything else. Further along are cigars for a slower smoke on the porch or after a long week.
We keep the cigarillos and wraps people ask for most in a range of flavors, plus natural leaf options. Stock moves quickly, so if you have a favorite, ask at the counter and we will tell you what is in and when more is coming.
Cigars, cigarillos and wraps are tobacco products, sold only to adults 21 and over with a valid photo ID, checked at the counter every time.

Cigars, Cigarillos and Wraps Compared
They sit next to each other on the shelf but they are made for different moments.
Cigars
Larger, slower burning and meant to be enjoyed over time. Flavor comes from the wrapper, binder and filler tobacco.
Cigarillos
Smaller, thinner and quicker to smoke. Often flavored, often sold in packs of two or more.
Wraps
Tobacco leaf or flavored sheets for rolling your own. Ask about natural leaf wraps if you prefer an unflavored taste.
Rolling Papers
Thin papers and cones in several sizes and materials, from classic white to unbleached and hemp papers.
Picking a Cigar if You Are New
If you do not smoke cigars often, start with a smaller size and a lighter wrapper. A smaller cigar takes less time to finish, and a lighter wrapper usually means a milder flavor. Darker wrappers tend to taste richer and sweeter.
Cigar smoke is not meant to be inhaled. Draw it into your mouth, taste it and let it go. Rotate the cigar as you light it so it burns evenly, and do not puff too fast or it will get hot and bitter.
Tell us the occasion, whether it is a celebration, a gift or just a quiet night, and we will show you two or three options in your price range.
- Start small with a lighter wrapper
- Toast the foot and rotate as you light
- Draw slowly and do not inhale
- Let ash fall naturally, do not tap constantly
- Ask for gift ideas, we are happy to help
Keeping Cigars and Wraps Fresh
Cigars dry out quickly in the Texas heat. If you buy more than you will smoke in a few days, a humidor or a sealed bag with a humidity pack keeps them in good shape. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from a hot car.
Cigarillos and wraps come in sealed foil packs for a reason. Open them when you plan to use them, and reseal or store any extras in an airtight container so they do not go stiff and crack.
If a wrap cracks while rolling, it is usually dry. A wrap from a fresh pack makes the job much easier.

Pair It With What You Need
The cigar lane sits close to our lighters, torches and cutters, so you can grab everything at once. If you roll your own, papers, cones, tips and grinders are by the glass wall, and our hookah shelf carries coals and shisha for a different kind of night.
Both Kush Kingdom shops carry the cigar lane. The Richland Hills shop on Boulevard 26 is open every day from 8 AM until midnight, which makes it an easy stop on the way home.
If you are shopping for a gift, tell us a little about the person, what they usually smoke and your budget, and we will put together a few ideas worth giving.

Cigar Sizes and Shapes, Simply
Cigars are described by length in inches and by ring gauge, which is the diameter measured in sixty-fourths of an inch. A 50 ring gauge cigar is fifty sixty-fourths of an inch across. Bigger ring gauges burn cooler and slower; thinner cigars put more of the wrapper flavor forward.
You will hear a few common names. A robusto is short and fairly thick and makes a good first cigar because it finishes in under an hour. A corona is a little longer and thinner. A toro is longer than a robusto with a similar thickness. Torpedoes and belicosos have a pointed head that you cut at an angle.
The wrapper leaf is the outside layer and has the biggest effect on flavor. Natural and Connecticut wrappers are usually lighter in color and milder, while maduro wrappers are dark, often sweeter and richer.
None of these names are strict rules, and two brands may label the same size differently. If a cigar on the shelf catches your eye, ask us about it and we will tell you how it smokes.
When you find one you enjoy, write down the brand, the size and the wrapper. Those three details are all we need to find you the same cigar again, or to suggest a close cousin when it is out of stock. Over time that little list becomes a map of your own taste, and it makes every visit to the cigar lane quicker and easier.
